 Greetings!
Phew, what times we live in! In the past weeks I've felt elated, depressed, joyous, fearful, hopeful...it's certainly been interesting. These are the sort of times that are certain to inspire great works of art, and have already resulted in new songs, comedy, and expressions that will be part of the culture for many years to come. Without a doubt, we live in historic times.
And how lucky we are to have great artists coming to town to help us immerse ourselves in beauty for a while so we can come out ready to continue doing what we need to do. I'm very much looking forward to seeing Dianne Reeves and Jeremy Denk. Speaking of greatness, how about Bach's Goldberg's Variations and how about a pianist who'll play all 31 of them and Ives Sonata No. 1?
See you in the theater.
