The B&B / Hotel Difference
The weather is cold and dreary, you're tired of being indoors - you need a vacation!
When most people begin planning a vacation, the obvious decisions they must make are where to go, whether they must drive or fly, how much they can spend and when they can get away.
Once the family decides where they will go, its time to plan the details of the trip, one of the most important of which is where to stay. Oftentimes, the person planning the trip will look for a hotel or condo in the area. Why not consider staying in a Bed & Breakfast? If you have never stayed in a bed & breakfast, you may have missed out on what can be an extremely pleasant and unique experience.
What are the differences between a hotel and a B&B? How will you know which is best for your family? Click here for more.

You WANT a vacation, but you just don't have the time to get away. You NEED a vacation, but this year's budget won't allow for it. A "stay-cation" at a local bed & breakfast is the perfect answer. Check in and relax in your own uniquely furnished room, enjoy conversation in a comfortable parlor or sit and read in a rocker on the porch. You just might be surprised at how relaxing an experience you can have even if you stay just down the road.
The Caldwell has regular guests who live in Abbeville, Maurice or Lafayette. They check into our luxury accommodations and leave all their cares behind. They receive a personal welcome and personal service, all with no travel time or charges. Many people come to Abbeville to eat in our fine restaurants. The next morning, they are served a gourmet breakfast on fine china -- all with no travel time or expense. What could be better?

The Caldwell Difference As the types and styles of bed and breakfasts vary greatly, so too do the services and amenities they provide. These services and amenities, along with treatment of guests, are crucial in how a guest will feel about a particular bed and breakfast and, oftentimes, what they will write in a review of the property once they leave. The Caldwell House is proud to have a 5-star rating, which is the highest in the industry, in over 60 reviews on TripAdvisor.com, BedandBreakfast.com, and other websites which promote rental of properties. Historical Fact
about
The Caldwell House
|
Five years after the home was constructed, a brick fence was built in the front of the home, however, that fence no longer exists. Fences around homes at that time were necessary to keep livestock from wandering into the yard.
