Greetings!
As winter break is approaching and snowy weather is being predicted, we would like to remind you of our policies regarding school delays and closings. WPS follows Norwalk Public School decisions regarding early dismissals, delays and closings. However, due to variability in conditions based upon location, please make individual decisions regarding your child's attendance and dismissal time.
We would like to thank you for supporting the Gardening Club by purchasing poinsettias for $5 yesterday. The $110 raised will be used towards gardening supplies and equipment. Thank you also to Alicia Gerbert for donating the beautiful poinsettias!
Students were surprised and excited for our guest speaker on Tuesday, Marlins Pitcher, Tom Koehler! Tom spoke about team work, dedication, and overcoming challenges. Students had the opportunity to receive a signed photo of Tom and participate in an all school photo. Pictures to be posted online shortly.
Thank you also to Dr. Decker for visiting with students on Wednesday and discussing his career as a neurologist. Students enjoyed hearing about the various steps to take in pursuing a career in medicine and the areas of specialty in neurology.
We hope you are finishing up your holiday shopping and looking forward to a warm and cozy weekend!
Happy Holidays, Monika Shah
Director of Operations WPPA Liaison
