Winston Preparatory School
November 12th, 2010
Greetings!

We would like to thank you for accommodating your schedule and taking the time to visit with your child's teachers this week.  We hope you found your parent conference informative and had the opportunity to learn more about your child's content classes.

In addition, the WPPA would like to thank you for visiting the Book Fair and purchasing books from your child's wishlist. 20% of all proceeds go towards WPPA events aimed at promoting social opportunities for students and developing a community between WPS and families.

Finally, thank you, thank you to the wonderful Book Fair Committee, Beth Kells, Rita Bernstein & Carolyn White!  What an amazing event and wonderful selection!  Thank you for your hard work and organization!

 Have a wonderful weekend!

Best,
Monika Shah

Health Education Survey

We hope you were able to complete the 'Health Education Survey' provided in our lobby during parent conferences.

Winston is looking into developing a health curriculum designed with your child's needs in mind.  Research validates that children with learning differences have the same desires as everyone else for companionship, love, and sexual activity; and these children may have difficulty processing information and therefore remain dangerously uninformed (Gordon, 1973).

If you did not already complete a survey, please see Ms. Pierce in the Front Office to obtain a copy.  We thank you in advance for your feedback.
Winter Game Night &
Parent Social

Friday, December 3rd
7:00 pm
WPS Gym

We hope all students can attend as this is one event they don't want to miss!  Dave's Cast & Characters will be providing similar games as last year and our favorite DJ will be providing music and interactive activities.

In addition, parents are invited to attend a 'Parent Social' in Cat Hall.

In order to ensure student supervision in the gym and allow all parents to attend a portion of the 'Parent Social' in Cat Hall,
we really need your help!!!

We are asking for parent volunteers to chaperone
a 30 minute shift in the gym.

Please click on the link below to specify which time would work best for you. If you cannot chaperone, we are also taking food donations.
