November Writers' Month

In accordance with our
Book Fair, we will also be having various authors visit and speak with students.

Author
Elizabeth Rudnik

Elizabeth is a young adult author and also a Senior Editor at Disney Press in New York City. She's edited books based on movies like Pirates of the Caribbean and Prince of Persia, as well as Miley Cyrus's memoir, Miles to Go, which was a New York Times bestseller.



Her current book, Tweet Hearts , is a romantic comedy about a 16 year old girl, Claire who falls in love with the captain of the lacrosse team, JD Whitcomb. The format is setup like the social network, Twitter and follows their relationship and conversations.

Tweet Hearts will be available for purchase in the office next week and students are encouraged to read the book prior to Elizabeth's visit to develop questions and spark dialogue about the book.

It's raining cats and dogs! We hope you are staying dry and enjoying
the cooler fall temperatures.


You say tomato, I say tomato...Hats off to our farmers and Gardening Club members for today's harvest and opening our first WPS Fresh Food Stand'.  Students and faculty enjoyed yummy green tomatoes and fresh pesto with pasta!

Congratulations to 'Helping Hands' for raising $128.75 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!  We thank you for your delicious goodies and donations! 'Helping Hands' will be selling JDRF t-shirts for $10 and paper sneakers for
$1 on Tuesday and Friday of next week. We appreciate your support and donations!

As a reminder there will be no school on Wednesday, October 6th for Professional Day.

Please be sure to wear comfortable shoes. It will take place rain or shine!

Frost Valley Trip


All forms are due on Monday, October 4th.

The Frost Valley Written Doctor and Parent Permission Form
must be signed by a parent and Physician.

All medication must be provided in original prescription bottles
(weekly and daily dispenser are not accepted by Frost Valley).

Nurses disperse medication in the Frost Valley Medical Center.

Information regarding packing:

Students do not need to pack a sleeping back as linens will be provided by
 Frost Valley.
