Emporia Farmers Market Celebrating 30 Years

The Veggie Gazette
Fresh & Local

May 2012

Volume 6, No. 5

Greetings!

It's May! It's May, that lovely month when farmers market vendors return to the parking lot at 7th & Merchant EVERY Saturday starting at 8:00 AM.

Our first May market, this coming Saturday, promises to be a fun one. We will have a cake decorating contest and we are counting on you, our shoppers, to vote for your favorite.

As well, you will have the opportunity to take a cake home by participating in our Silent Auction as you vote. All proceeds of the auction will go toward the operations of Emporia Farmers Market.

But that's not all! Thanks to the wonderful folks at Emporia Realty Group and PrairieLand Partners, shoppers this Saturday will receive free market shopping bags -- our gift to you.

And finally, for Vision Cardholders, the market invites you to celebrate our 30th season with 3-for-1 tokens for the month of May (while supplies last). This gift is courtesy of the Emil Babinger Charitable Trust.

See you at the market!
