Eight Years of Excellent Outcomes
A Summary of the CooperRiis Outcomes Research
CooperRiis has been collecting comprehensive Outcomes Measurement Data starting with the first resident we welcomed in 2003. In the subsequent eight years, it has been our honor to serve over 550 residents.
We endorse the concept of Recovery from mental illness which William Anthony, the father of the Recovery Movement, describes as:
"... a deeply personal, unique process of changing one's attitudes, values, feelings, and goals, skills, or roles. It is a way of living a satisfying, hopeful, and contributing life even with the limitations caused by mental illness. Recovery involves the development of new meaning and purpose in one's life as one grows beyond the catastrophic effects of mental illness".
