The East Coast Shag Classic is a three-day, lively beachfront getaway celebrating East Coast beach culture through the music that inspired the shag, the unofficial dance of the state of North Carolina.

Town Mayor, David Cignotti said:  "Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina's most accessible and scenic beach town, is excited to be the location for the inaugural East Coast Shag Classic. Beach music fans will have the opportunity to dance to the best beach bands in the Carolinas while supporting Women of Hope, a wonderful organization that supports female cancer patients and their families. It is my hope that this event will become an annual Wrightsville Beach tradition!"
