Results:  6^th Annual Reef/Sweetwater Pro Am Surf Fest

Wrightsville Beach, NC-  The 6^th Annual Reef/Sweetwater Pro Am Surf Fest concluded late today at Wrightsville Beach.  Wilmington surfers edge out Australia and Hawaii to win the top 2 positions in the professional division.  This event is one of the largest surfing contests on the East Coast and attracts surfers from around the world.  Tens of thousands of locals, die-hards, and tourists had a chance to view this three day event, with excellent surf conditions for the competition.

Here are the Winners:

First Place:  Michael Powell of Wilmington; $5,000 Purse

Second Place:  Ben Bourgeois of Wilmington; $3,000 Purse

Third Place:  Heath Walker of Australia; $2,000 Purse

Fourth Place:  Dylan Goodale of Hawaii; $1,500

First Place:  Kate Easton of Virginia Beach

Second Place:  Kayleigh Winslow of Wrightsville Beach

Third Place:  Leldon McCleary of South Carolina

Fourth Place:  Carleigh Sion of South Carolina

Second Place:  Haley Watson of Florida
