Peace, Love & Gardening

Want to take a journey that doesn't cost much money? Try gardening. Gardening is a therapeutic avenue to escape troubles, to watch seeds sprout to plants and to produce. Yes produce!! As in a grocery store. The rewards of gardening are endless and different for each gardener. Ask any gardener what her/his thing is about gardening and you're bound to get a variety of answers. But, I would bet a common answer is 'watching something grow'. Plants are different from children or pets because you get to start over season after season if something doesn't work for you!

                  PeaceLoveGardening

Get started!!

1. Start small. Start with a veggie you buy often at the grocery store.

2. Make a simple plan. Decide where you will plant. Decide what you will need as your plant grows (stakes, ties).  Include a plan for keeping bugs off (that's big here in the south).

3. Invest in simple gardening tools like a small shovel and cutting sheers.  A tiller is a good investment as well.

4. Ask other gardeners questions.

5. Search local agriculture websites for advice on growing in your area.

Stay tuned-I'll be sharing more tips next edition.

Get Into Your Head & Shed a Few Pounds!

Weigh to Live! a Natural Weight Loss program from One Whole Health, just concluded and I am so excited for all of you who participated. Of the many accomplishments I could mention, what is most significant to me is that on our final call, it was unanimous. Each of you answered "Yes" to the following question:

Do You Feel Confident That You Will Maintain or Increase Your Weight Loss?

Now that's my idea of a successful weight loss program! You did it without counting calories, stepping on a scale or depriving yourself of good food! Weigh to Live! helps you realize that the key to losing weight from your body is often finding going on in your head.  I mean that in two very distinct ways.

1)Your brain chemistry can be the reason you haven't been able to lose weight before now. If you are deficient in one or more key neurotransmitters (brain chemicals), you can experience false appetite and false cravings resulting in packing on extra pounds. To see if this is the case for you, take this FREE ASSESSMENT

2) When your brain chemistry is balanced, your thoughts and beliefs could still be preventing you from losing weight. One type of thought that often sabotages weight loss efforts is resistance or rebellion. On a scale of 1-10, rate how in control you feel in the following areas of your life, with a 10 meaning "completely in control."

Thoughts
Lifestyle
Nutrition
Moods
Physical Body
Energy Level
Self Care
Self Growth
Environment
Career
Connectivity
Awareness

The degree to which you feel in control of these areas of your life correlates with how happy you feel. When you are unhappy, you eat to experience some joy. Taking control of your life can lead to surprising and effortless weight loss.
