Disconnected? Not a Chance!
Perhaps you have noticed that you have not received a UIM Connection! for some time. Not to worry. We have not been disconnected; we've just been preoccupied with a myriad of ministry demands and events. The Lord has really blessed!
Stay connected! Keep reading. This issue of UIM Connection! and the next are packed with significant updates on recent ministries in UIM International. It's hard to keep up with it all!
As you read, please praise the Lord and pray for us as we continue to press forward in the task of bringing the Gospel to the First People groups of North America! Great needs and great opportunities abound! As the sun rises each day, UIM missionaries proclaim the Gospel, disciple believers, develop indigenous church leaders, and glory in Christ Jesus as He builds His Church!
I can't wait for you to read about ministry advances in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. We've celebrated 55 years of ministry at recent dinners in Phoenix and Tucson. Like-minded mission agencies are working together in Mexico. Servants are at work in big and small ways; no effort is insignificant.
I thank you for keeping informed, praying, and keeping firmly connected with us! Enjoy UIM Connection!
In Christ,

An Evening with UIM
This year numerous people in various locations have joined in celebration of God's 55 years of blessing on UIM International. About 110 celebrants gathered recently at Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix, Arizona, where a colorful pictorial display of UIM's ministries in Canada, the United States, and Mexico greeted each who entered the lobby.

A Timely Need Met
Prospective UIM Mexico missionaries, Javier Jocobi and his wife, Ana, recently experienced the fury of a hurricane. It left them with three feet of water in their home. Their refrigerator, mattresses, cushions and other things were destroyed. They had to take the seats out of their car and have them cleaned. Fortunately, the water did not enter their car's motor or transmission. Javier is a Mayo Indian graduate of the TEE program (Theological Education by Extension) in the Mexico state of Sonora. Many years ago Javier and Ana responded to the need in Jalisco for the TEE program there. Every week Javier travels many miles on dangerous mountain roads that are full of sharp curves to conduct TEE.
Right now he cannot make a trip because one of the most dangerous curves has been washed out.
Javier also has two TEE groups at the church in La Huerta where he pastors. It is a very needy and fruitful ministry.
