Welcome Additions to UIM
UIM is 55 years old this year. Depending upon your perspective, personal age, and experience, you may think, "Wow!" That's old." Or, you may respond, "Just getting started," or "You are in your prime!"
Organizationally speaking, being 55 is great, especially when considering the fact that 55 years ago UIM International, under the name United Indian Missions, Inc., consisted of just three very young misionary families seeking simply to reach a few Native American tribes in Arizona. Today, 55 years later, the ministry has expanded to British Columbia, and Quebec, Canada, greater regions of the United States, and Mexico. Over 400 missionaries have come and gone, and presently UIM International has 75 missionary units, plus many indigenous leaders, serving in these fields of North America.
UIM International is celebrating 10 new missionaries joining our missionary family. Read about these welcome additions to our ministry in this issue of UIM Connection! We are grateful for each one.
UIM International is looking beyond our 55 years of ministry to other areas and regions, tribes and precious souls that yet need to hear the Gospel.
Through these years, and BEYOND, we seek to remain faithful until Jesus comes! Your ongoing connection to UIM International makes this possible. Your sustaining prayers and financial support make it happen!
Thank you for being a UIM Connection partner. Pass this along to others. Forward it and encourage others to pray and participate with us! Ask others to send us their name and e-mail addresses so we can keep connected!
Ever grateful for God's amazing grace,

God's Provision of Faithful People
After the staff conference in August, several of those in attendance stayed for OTUS (Orientation to UIM Seminar). Ernie Geeing, UIM's Missionary Development Division Director, and other administrators led the ten attendees through several days of activities to prepare them for their future with UIM.
Glenn and Teodora Urquhart, along with their son Derek, are coming from New Tribes Missions. They will be working among the poor in Chihuahua, Mexico. Michael and Kelli Bicket, along with their son, Javan, also come from New Tribes. Michael has already started maintaining airplanes at the Tucson hangar. Tyrell and Kate Zehner with their children Donald and Walter, Joseph Brock (son of UIM's Aviation Director, Bryon Brock) and Geneva Cutler plan to minister in British Columbia, Canada. Salvador and Asenet Bahena and their children, Isaac, Priscila, Josias, Hepzy, and Itzel, live in McAllen, Texas, and plan to minister under the U.S. Hispanic field.
During the six days at OTUS, Ernie and other administrators presented the ministry, doctrinal statement, and policies/practices of UIM, including the five stages of becoming a UIM missionary. Other sessions included culture, calling, finances and budgets, the deputation process, practical instructions for building their support teams, corresponding with support teams, and presenting their ministry in various settings.
Thank the Lord with us for His provision of these faithful people to do His work. Pray that He will provide financially for them so they can go to the field soon.
