UIM Summer Ministry
From Canada to Mexico and across the Native country in the United States, UIM is a flurry of ministry. Rock Nest Ranch in Canada, Broken Arrow Bible Ranch in New Mexico and Alpha and Omega Camp in Mexico are all reaching children and youth with the Good News message of Jesus Christ and the challenge to devote their lives in serving Him!
Summer teams from local churches are in partnership with UIM serving Native ministries in vacation Bible school outreaches along with build-up and fix-up projects. All this combines to change lives at so many levels and in so many ways.
In addition to our short-term summer ministries, we are excited about new long-term ministries such as the new La Casa de Refugio in Mexico. Our Mexico Director Don Nellis recently reported,
"Tomorrow evening, July 11th, this new ministry in Leon, Guanajuato, will be inaugurated! The home has been remodeled and the volunteer staff is in place. Ulysses and Marichuy Dominguez will be the key people watching over the project. Although the local church will be providing the volunteers and covering most of the expenses, we seek to help them meet some of the physical needs. For this we have set up a UIM project account called 'House of Refuge.' We believe that many people will hear the Gospel and experience the love of Christ in this place. Please pray for this effort!"
Your connection to UIM International keeps you informed of the work of God in these special places among these special people in this region of the world. UIM Connection is UIM's contact point with you. This is a vital partnership. Thank you for keeping connected by your prayers and financial provision.
I ask you to connect others with us to expand this partnership. Invite others to connect with you and us by forwarding UIM Connection! to your friends and contacts. We would be happy to add them to our email list.
In closing, if you've not connected to our UIM website recently, take a minute to see some new features at www.uim.org. There are new audio resources, including a message by John Piper on the life of David Brainerd. More about this in a later UIM Connection!
Grateful for your partnership, participation, and ongoing connection!
