Dear Friends of UIM,

We are in the midst of UIM's 55th year of ministry.  Wow!  What God has done in the past 55 years!  Like all ministries that have achieved similar longevity, there has been a mixture of great blessing and joy, as well as peppered moments here and there of measured disappointment and discouragement.  Through it all the Lord has proven to be ever faithful - as He always is!

From humble beginnings and three young couples in 1954 to nearly seventy missionary units in 2011, the ministry has expanded across the United States, to Canada and Mexico.  Nearly 400 missionaries have spent careers with UIM.  Some have started their career with UIM; some have completed their career with UIM. While others have spent the entirety of their service unto the Lord with UIM.  However the Lord has led in each case, we give Him the praise!

One of the things we do every-five-years is to gather for a full staff conference, at a location that can accommodate our full family group of nearly 200 individuals.  This year, August 2011, we will all gather at Maranatha Bible Camp, in Maxwell, NE (just east of North Platte, NE).

One of our great challenges for this year's conference is funding our "Mexican national missionaries" to be able to join us in their first UIM Staff Conference.  Would you consider a special gift to UIM for Project Viaje a Nebraska - Trip to Nebraska?  There is a need to assist with travel, food and lodging to and from Nebraska, as well as the costs related to the conference itself.  Our goal is $7,000.
