Communication. communication, communication! There was a time when conventional wisdom emphasized location, location, location, but in today's world the key to getting things done is communication!
In UIM International we are intentional about communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to communicate the glorious Gospel of our savior to young and old, to boys and girls, to men and women. We communicate the glorious Gospel of our Lord in local churches and open air settings, in summer camps and leadership training, in jails, and in food kitchens reaching abandoned and homeless children in Mexico. By formal education and in non-formal settings, we are communicating God's eternal grace in Christ Jesus. From majestic British Columbia to Quebec, Canada; across the United States and throughout northern and southern Mexico; by land and by air; on foot, by horseback and by cars and trucks UIM International missionaries are out and about communicating the way, the truth, and the life in Christ Jesus.
Thanks for remaining connected with us by prayer and financial support. I have the distinct joy of hearing and seeing the Native Indian, Mexican, and Hispanic peoples of North America respond to our Lord's unfolding of His grace. Thank you for you vital partnership!
Plan to connect with us at another level. Come spend the winter with us. Plan to spend a summer with us. Contact us, and we can give you specifics on opportunities and locations. Come and share with us as we communicate, communicate, communicate!
In Christ Jesus,
Dan Fredericks, Executive Director

UIM Aviation
Those involved in UIM Aviation wear a variety of hats. The guys from the hangar in Tucson, Arizona recently spent several days building a new roof for the home of an elderly Tohono O'odham Indian couple. The Tohono O'odham Reservation is about an hours' drive west of Ryan Airfield. Mechanic Tony Harmon met Mike and Josephine by divine appointment several years ago. He has been developing a relationship with them since and all the staff at the hangar has been introduced to them. The Tohono O'odham tribal leadership provided the materials and UIM Aviation provided the labor. The mechanics have no plans to go into the construction business but they all saw it as a way to share the love of Christ in a very "hands on" way.
In Chihuahua, Mexico a UIM pilot departs in a Cessna 206 early in the morning hours to the city of Tepic capitol of the state of Nayarit. He picks up passengers and supplies then continues on to where the Huichol Indians live. Once the plane has landed the passengers disperse for their various responsibilities. Huichol pastors Jose' and Manuel visit those who have professed Jesus as their Savior. Two of the three Mexican pastors, Martin, Ismael, and Jaime, go to check on the progress of various community development projects they introduced some months before. The UIM pilot has non-aviation projects he can get involved in. This outreach to the Huichol people marks some exciting firsts for UIM Aviation. It is the first time they are directly partnering with native pastors and UIM Mexico. The plan is for UIM to open a new base in Tepic, Mexico, for the Huichol ministry as well as other projected ministry efforts. A donated Cessna 206 is being modified to be used in the field.
On October 4-5 the International Board of UIM made up of men from Mexico, Canada and the United States, will be attending their annual board meeting in Tucson. At that time, those that are involved with UIM Aviation in Tucson will be hosts and hostesses. This will give the board an opportunity to see first-hand what goes on there.
