Project Profile
For years the staff and residents of St. Anne of Winona, an extended healthcare facility, and Callista Court, an assisted living facility, had dreamed of one day being able to walk between their individual buildings without having to go outside. That dream has been realized with the recent completion of the Callista Court Addition.
The four-story, 30 bed assisted living facility addition physically connects the two buildings allowing staff and residents to move safely and comfortably between them, while also adding 30 new assisted living apartments and a new conference room to the shared campus. Each of the new apartments has its own kitchenette and bathroom. Residents of the new addition can also use several common spaces that include a new spa, exercise room, creativity center, dining hall, private dining room, fireplace lounge, family den, theater/library and a great room that allows for large group activities.
As members of the Benedictine Health System, Callista Court and St. Anne of Winona share common core values of hospitality, stewardship, respect and justice. These core values were used to shape the functions that this addition provides.
Schwab LLC acted as the owners designated purchasing agent on the project allowing it to be built exempt of Minnesota sales tax. The project was completed on time and within budget.

We are pleased to welcome back Jacque Willie to the Schwab LLC team. Jacque has led many successful projects throughout her time with Schwab LLC and her dedication to client satisfaction is second to none.

How long you've worked at Schwab LLC and what are your day to day activities?
I have been with Schwab LLC (and affiliates) since 2003. My daily activities are mostly comprised of documentation and correspondence. I have regular correspondence with the owner, architect, subcontractors and suppliers on the project, as well as with our jobsite superintendent, to insure that all questions and issues are being addressed and to make sure the job is progressing on time and on budget.
Current Projects:
I am currently working at St. Mary's University on their new 48,000 square foot residence hall.
What are a few memorable projects you've worked on?
Thern's Manufacturing Addition in 2008/09, Minnesota Marine Art Museum Addition in 2008/09, Hal Leonard's new Distribution Center in 2007/08, Winona Senior High School District Office Renovations in 2006, Winona State University's Kryzsko Commons Addition in 2005/06, Signature's Renovation and the Lounge Addition in 2005/06, and Wenonah Canoe's New Office and Plant in 2004.
What is the most fulfilling thing you take away from your job?
I love working with a team of people, each with our own "share" or contribution, to achieve a goal only possible by all of our efforts combined. Not to mention, it is very satisfying to see tangible results literally built before your eyes. |
