| Celebrating 25 years in Calgary! | |
In 1986, the Children's Cottage opened it's doors of a cute little bungalow in SW Calgary, making it only the second Crisis Nursery in all of Canada. We have made such a difference in the community and have kept over 53,000 children safe over the last 25 years! An amazing accomplishment and one that had a lot of help from donors, board members, sponsors and government support.
We want to thank you and we are hosting a 25th Anniversary reception to do just that! On Tuesday, May 8 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Petroleum Cub (319 - 5th Avenue SW), we will celebrate with wine and cheese, hor d'oeuvres and a birthday cake! He Skates, He Scores! | |

Kaden Stannard and some of his friends pictured here sure did score! They all scored one for kids in Crisis. He decided instead of hosting a traditional birthday party for his 9th birthday on March 26, he was going to host a Skate-A-Thon in support of the Children's Cottage. Wow! A young boy giving up the possibility for a new bike, video games or action figures and instead encourages his friends to donate their money to the Children's Cottage. We salute you Kaden Stannard and we are happy to announce that Kaden raised over $2800 to help keep children safe in Calgary! Fantastic Job!! You are a wonderful role model!
