Greetings NOVA Runners,
Track practice for the rest of April will be at TC Williams High School.
Please renew your NOVA membership ASAP or else you will be removed from the e-mails THIS MONTH! Thanks to those who have renewed already--we value your membership. We know it can be an easy thing to forget, so here's the link to renew - click it now! http://www.active.com/framed/event_detail.cfm?CHECKSSO=0&EVENT_ID=1378881 or download the form from the NOVA website here: http://www.novarun.com/2010site/2011_NOVA_membershipform-7.pdf
The looming government shut down ended up not happening this week, allowing the George Washington Parkway 10 miler to go on as planned. Congratulations to all those that ran the 10 miler this past weekend!!!
We are looking for members to help Fred Carson organize happy hours and also assist with organizing cookie runs. If your are interested, please e-mail us.
At some point we are supposed to have a Arlington Board member come to practice to present Arlington County's annual Boston Marathon proclamation. This is when Arlington County urges all citizens to recognize the hard work and dedication of the runners participating in the 115th Boston Marathon.
See you out there,

| Coach Jerry's Workout |
It was another great weekend of racing for NOVA--well done to all who ran GW Parkway 10 mile! The performances are all that much more impressive because the threat of the race being cancelled could not have been conducive to the mental preparation necessary to run fast. Let's keep getting NOVA athletes out there in races big and small as we make our way into the heart of the spring racing season. Anyone who is looking to race this weekend should consider the Pikes Peak 10k in Rockville. It is a point to point, net downhill course that is one of, if not the, fastest 10k in the area. We'll be working hard again this week at our favorite training venue, TC Williams. The workout will be 10 x 400 with a 400 recovery. As always, if you have any questions, give me a holler. See you out there tomorrow.
Coach Jerry
