| Tuesday Track: 6:30PM T.C. Williams High School | |
With Daylight Saving Time, we now have more sunlight in the evenings, which means we can switch back to T.C. Williams for Track and Wakefield is becoming increasingly unavailable. This Tuesday, Track will be at 6:30PM at T.C. Williams High School this week, located at 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302. Be sure to arrive early to warm-up and stretch properly before the workout.
*Note: Be sure to carefully read the newsletter over the next few weeks as this is the time of year when we have to begin juggling tracks due to varying school sports seasons.*

| Coach Jerry's Workout |
Last week brought the sad news of the death of Sally Meyerhoff, a national caliber marathoner and triathelte, when she was hit by a car while biking. It takes this kind of tragedy to remind us all that we MUST use caution when biking or running in traffic. Please remember at all times that as a runner or biker you are very vulnerable, and that all it takes is one errant driver to cause lasting damage. Do not take any chances when there are cars around, ever. It's simply not worth the potential cost. On a happier note, spring is officially here now that we've set the clocks back, and that means it's time to get to work. Cherry Blossom is now less than 3 weeks away, and the other big races are also closing in, so it's time to get out to the track (and note that the track we're using this week is TC). The workout this week will be 2 x 1200, 2 x 800, 2 x 400, all with a 400 jog. As always, if you have any questions, give me a holler. See you out there tomorrow.
Coach Jerry
