Greetings from your NOVA President,
Thanksgiving Weekend has concluded and we are heading down the homestretch for the racing season and the calendar year. It's been another great year for NOVA members and I've enjoyed being President. Note that I have been President for two years and now it's time for someone else to takeover. You can send me your nomination or to Amanda mandy13082@aol.com or Andresa andresah@iadb.org. Last year we had the elections after the Christmas Tree Run and Party at Mike and Andresa's house, so we'll probably do it again that way.
You can also nominate someone for Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Membership Coordinator. You may nominate yourself, of course.
The Save the Date e-mail went out on November 28th for the "Annual Christmas Tree Run and Party," from Mike and Andresa's house. More details below and to follow...
Be sure to check out the race results section. Quite a few NOVA runners ran over the 4 day period and as expected, all did well!
Teams are forming for the Jingle All the Way 10K on December 12. If you are interested in running, let me or the Coach know.

| Tuesday Track Session | Wakefield H.S., Tuesday, 6:30 PM

| Coach Jerry's Workout | |
Gang, we had a tremendous show of strength by NOVA over the holiday weekend with a huge number of you racing, and many excellent results. Well done! While the fall racing season is winding down, that does not mean it's time to stay home on Tuesday nights. Rather, now is the time to start preparing for a great year in 2011, so I expect to see big turnouts going forward. We may have some challenging weather in the next few weeks, but working out in less than ideal conditions makes you tougher for the spring races, so there are no excuses to miss the fun. The workout this week will be 6 x 800 with a 400 jog. As always, if you have any questions, give me a holler. See you out there.
Coach Jerry

| Post-Track Pizza: Pizzaiolo's | Join us at our post-track hang out
Even though we are now at Wakefield for track we are still meeting for a post workout pizza and beer at The Pizzaiolo Café on Fern. We've had a great turnout the last few weeks. The Pizzaiolo Café is located at 1623 Fern Street, Alexandria, VA, across the street from Ramparts. Please join us after track! http://www.cafepizzaiolo.com/cof_home.html
Due to our strong patronage, the owner of The Pizzaiolo Café, Larry Ponzi, has extended Happy Hour pricing to NOVA! $4 house wines (Chianti, Sangivose and Pinot Grigio) $3 drafts of Yuengling Lager and Miller Lite $10 pitchers of the Yuengling Lager and Miller Lite
