Road Runners Club of America
Issue: # 25June 21, 2010
Greetings from your NOVA President,
This had to be one of the busiest weekends on the sport calendar for the D.C. area.  I returned from vacation on Saturday and I didn't know what to do on Sunday.  Should I run a 5K, watch the triathlon, catch a Nats game, watch the US Open, or watch the World Cup?  There was so much going on, I didn't know where to begin.  And of course it was Father's Day, so happy Father's Day to all the NOVA dads out there.  You probably could not have asked for a better day!

My weekend is never complete until I swing by a running store.  After getting fitted with the new Brooks Adrenaline I talked to Robbie Wade of Pacers who finished second in the DC Triathlon, which hasn't posted its results yet.  He was bummed because somebody from the Ukraine who races on the ITU circuit showed up and beat him.  The good news is that Robbie keeps improving and if he can drop his swim time by a few minutes, the D.C. area may have another world class athlete in their midst.
