Greetings from your NOVA President,
Even though it was a bit cooler over the weekend, the wind and allergies made a Saturday long run a bit of a challenge. The other challenge was weaving my way through the 15th Annual Walk for the Animals, a 5K dog walk on the W&OD trail held last Saturday. This annual event raised over $100K to benefit the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. If you missed it but want to make a donation, here's the website: http://www.awla.org/animal-fundraising-walk.shtml. This Saturday, May 15, NOVA's bi-annual W&OD trail clean-up occurs. Please join us at Bluemont Park in Arlington at 9AM (details below). For those of you who participated in the NOVA Online Survey, thanks for your help! The results will be posted next week. Naturally, with a diverse group of runners, we had diverse results and suggestions. Thanks for participating!

| Coach Jerry's Workout |
We had a really nice turnout last week, and I expect the trend to continue. We'll be out there tomorrow working hard rain or shine, so don't let the possiblity of some wet weather dampen your enthusiasm. The workout tomorrow will be 6 x 800 with a 400 jog, and we'll try to cut them down as the workout progresses. If you have any questions, give me a shout. See you out there.
Coach Jerry
