The Women's Center for Advancement (formerly the YWCA Omaha) is proud to present our signature event again this year.  Tribute to Women will honor 11 outstanding women.  We will also honor the University of Nebraska-Omaha (UNO) and Chancellor John Christensen with the Outstanding Community Leadership award.

Each year we honor a person or company who has shown great leadership on behalf of women in our community with an Outstanding Community Leadership award. This year, we are honoring Chancellor John Christensen and UNO for the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women.

Since 1972, UNO has brought the importance of issues that impact women to the forefront of campus and community life.  Chancellor Christensen has also provided his leadership and support in the more recent Voices Against  Violence Coalition and the Violence Prevention initiative at UNO in partnership with Alegent Health and Catholic Health Initiatives.
