What is in store for the job market in 2010?
 
The staffing industry is considered a bell weather of the economic and employment landscape, and changes in our industry are often seen before changes in overall employment. At
Redfish Technology, both our High Tech team and our specialized Greenfish division focusing on renewables and alternate energy we are experiencing growth as a specialized placement firm, and we are seeing it in the hiring practices of our clients. 
Clean & Green Job Trends
 
While the recession is affecting most sectors of the economy, the renewable energy sector is projected to grow. Recent legislation and stimulus funding are promoting investment in clean technologies, and this in part explains why the fastest-growing segment of the electric power industry is renewable energy. Renewables only make up a relatively small piece of the national energy mix, however both wind and solar energy are expanding rapidly, companies engaged in the production and installation of, are hiring a significant number of new workers. Additionally utilities will continue to be affected by the retirements of baby boomers, which will significantly reduce the supply of domestic utility workers. Wind is the fastest growing energy source domestically. Wind energy production increased by 21 % in 2007, and a recent report by the U.S. Department of Energy suggests that it could contribute 20 percent of the Nation's electricity by 2030.
