It's 4H Fair time!  There are numerous Chamber Members that have booths out at the Fair, make sure you stop by and visit their booths.  We hope everyone has a great time out at the fair.
 
Also, Public input is needed next week on Tuesday, July 27th at 120 S. Saint Joseph St, South Bend regarding NIPSCO Gas Rates.  The first meeting starts at 5:30pm, the second starts at 6pm.

Just a few MORNING slots for teams of 4 or individuals to play in the Golf and Tennis Outing brought to you by the Goshen Health System on August 18th at Maplecrest Country Club.   
 
The Goshen Health System is sponsoring a $1000 (in value) prize in the FREE Raffle that all participants receive a ticket for playing.  Follow us on our Facebook page as we reveal the prize in the coming weeks! 
Market your Business at the Golf and Tennis Outing
 
Every year we ask you to provide promotional material for the Golf and Tennis Goodie Bags that are handed to everyone who participates in the outing.  If your company would like to provide the Chamber with material for the outing, we need 250 items by Friday, August 13th!  For more information, contact Brent Randall at 574-533-2102.
 
New Teacher Luncheon
 
On August 5th, the Goshen Chamber will be hosting the New Teacher Luncheon sponsored by Teachers Credit Union.  We are looking to make a welcome bag for the new teachers.  If you business would like to offer something for the welcome bags, drop off 25 items to the Goshen Chamber by Tuesday, August 3rd.  For more information, contact Brent Randall at 574-533-2102.

 Das Dutchman Essenhaus Announces Girl & Doll Friendship Party
 
MIDDLEBURY - A unique event that combines young ladies and their favorite doll centered around friendship will be held at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana.  This special event is being planned for girls of all ages and their favorite doll.  Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, Indiana is hosting the event on Friday, September 17th beginning with check-in at 5:15 PM (event time at 6:00 pm) and on Saturday, September 18th beginning with check-in at 11:15 AM (event time at 12:00 pm).  The events will be held in the restaurant building.  During check-in and registration, participants will have time to browse the "Book Nook" and experience the fair through games.  Following the meal, a program featuring a County Fair theme will take place, as well as door prize giveaways.  A meal is included in the ticket price.  Tickets are $17.50 for adults and $15.00 for children and they will become available August 9th.  Every effort will be made to accommodate parties who desire seating with another group or individual.  Pre-paid reservations must be received by September 13th as seating is limited.  Additional information regarding this special event or Das Dutchman Essenhaus can be obtained by calling 574-825-9471 or 800-455-9471, or via the Internet website www.Essenhaus.com.
 
Indiana Employee Health and Wellness Summit
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Wellness Council of Indiana and INShape Indiana are pleased to announce Governor Mitch Daniels will open the Indiana Employee Health and Wellness Summit on September 1, 2010!  Fortunately for Hoosiers, our governor is a big proponent of health and wellness, which is why he started the INShape Indiana wellness initiative. You've seen his commercials. His message is simple: Eat Better, Move More, and Avoid TobaccoGovernor Daniels will give opening remarks on September 1 at 8:15 a.m. In addition to Governor Daniels' speech, other features of the summit include: four concurrent educational sessions; two keynote presentations; an expo with over 20 sponsor and exhibitor booths; the Wellness Council of Indiana Awards Luncheon; and much more!
