Monday, January 16, 2012
9 am - 4 pm
$85
Continuing the exploration of the process of image making begun in our October 2011 session, this workshop gives each participant a chance to experiment with different ways to relate to the image created. Free association with and amplification of the image are just two of the ways we will explore. Fundamental to each is the willingness to learn and the courage to stay open to the unexpected, both qualities essential in our journey of self-discovery and participation in the Expressive Arts.
Everyone is welcome to join in this experiment since we will spend the first part of the morning reviewing the content of our October workshop. Please bring your favorite art making materials and wear comfortable clothing. Plan to play and to learn more about yourself and others!
Open to all!

If you would like to schedule a session, please contact me at 828-251-1948 or at jareddm@charter.net About Jared: Jared Massanari has a masters degree in counseling from Florida State University and a doctorate in Religious Studies from Syracuse University. REFLECTIONS ON EXPRESSIVE ARTS COMMUNITY NETWORKING
Donna Papenhausen
"On Wednesday, November 30th I volunteered to guide the dozen plus Networking attendees in "Discovering Your Inner Diva/Divo." I planned a full process of guided meditation, movement, mask-making and "I am" statements. In the 45 minutes available, we managed to do all of the above. Although there was time pressure, one of the gifts of having to move quickly through the artmaking portion resulted in not being able to over- think the work and creating the core vision of the inner Diva! As someone commented later, "The mask became more of a quick sketch to be elaborated on later."
Overall, everyone commented that they really enjoyed the process and would like to do more of the same in a longer timeframe. I've been leading workshops and retreats using art for over thirty years so I was overjoyed that those who attended want more! I'll be planning a longer mask making workshop to be held in the new year as well as other opportunities to discover your inner cast of characters and deepen your spiritual and creative life. If you are interested in participating you can contact me at: revdpap@aol.com or let one of the creative partners at EXAFL know of your interest. You can also visit me at my website: www.DLBeaDivine.com.
The opportunity to guide the process at the monthly Networking event was wonderful! I heartily encourage all of you to use this as a way to sharpen your skills, test new processes, or share tried and true material with your peers in the Expressive Arts."
Donna Papenhausen

We extend a big heartfelt "thank you" to you, Donna!
We encourage others to contact us about being a guest facilitator at one of our monthly Networking events!
