"I have been honored to view the works of other artists and experience the power of their work even as I have received the witness from others as they experience mine." Donna P.
"Not being an artist, I was initially unsure about joining the mandala forum. I quickly realized it is not an art forum, though there is beautiful art shared on the site, but rather a place to share and learn more about mandalas and the process. If you are interested in mandalas or want to learn more about them, this is a wonderful, supportive environment to learn, share and grow in."
Sherri S.
"Participating in the mandala forum is a joyful and inspiring experience. Not only does it encourage and inform my own practice, but I am connecting with the heartbeat of wonderful new friends through their mandala art. "-- LJ

EXPRESSIVE ARTS BUSINESS CONSULTATION We offer consultation sessions to meet your needs. Please contact us to discuss. Read what one client says.... I loved brainstorming/ collaborating with Victoria. I am a writer and so spend a lot of time working alone and when I have a consulting gig, I'm usually in my own head with it. It was fun to create the container for the kick off speech in concert with someone else, especially someone who has a wealth of Expressive Arts experience personally, academically and professionally. Never in a million years would I have come up with the creative process that Victoria recommended. I loved that the activity suggested was everything that I wanted for my kick off - logistically simple, inexpensive, had both individual and community components, visual, kinesthetic and most of all, unexpected. Having an element of "something new" was very important to me because I had so many young people in the audience and I had to connect with them quickly and grab their attention. Victoria really understood that. We knew the adults would be attentive to the content of the speech but the kids might snooze if I didn't sent the message up front that something different would happen. And so when I walked into the door for my first consult, Victoria had already intuited a creative process based on the information I had given her about the gig. Victoria having done that pre-work made our first hour together far more productive than it otherwise would have been had she not done some brainstorming on her own. This left plenty of time for us to visualize the activity and its logistics as well as think through possible challenges. In the end, my client was happy, and judging from the smiles, nods and participation of the audience, I'd say the teens and parents were satisfied, too. Gina Greenlee Author, Educator back to top

Hello from British Columbia!
Here is a poster from a recent Art Exhibit: Transitions....Betwixt and Between, at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery here on Cortes Island, B.C.
One of my entries, titled "Unknown Place" in the upper right corner. It was really great to see how a wide variety of artists interpreted this theme! I am taking a break from facilitating over the summer, but am continuing with the two online groups, and, with the help of Skype, staying actively involved with EAF and EAFI business and planning. PAINTING YOUR CREATIVE EDGE
Series 2 of "Painting You Creative Edge" is well under way! In this 3 week workshop, Victoria is using the "Mandorla" art form ( Two intersecting Mandalas) to move through these contemplative questions:
Where are you now?
Where are you going?
Where do you want to be?
The participants are led through each week's journey as Victoria guides them to scan their "inner landscape", focusing on mind, body, and spirit. They are then asked to take this awareness into their painting, allowing it to take them to their "Creative Edge", which holds new insight. Sharing and discussion follow.
Victoria Domenichello-Anderson Weeks 1 and 2 "Transformation" "The Creative Edge Workshop with Victoria was incredible to say the least! It was eye opening and soul deepening! Victoria has a wonderful way of slowing me down, helping me center and allowing my art to take new twists and turns. I really appreciated the way she was there to talk me into my picture and help me to go closer to the edge, especially when I really wanted to pack it in. As I type this right now, I'm looking up at three new paintings hanging on my wall and I'm so blessed that even weeks later -they are still speaking to me. The creative edge is a necessary class for helping you reflect upon where you are, where you're going and tapping into the dreams of where you want to be!" E.J., Workshop participant Coming in September...... PAINTING YOUR CREATIVE EDGE Series 3 In this Series we will be working from the OUTER EDGE, journeying inward, using the creative edge as a holding point. Thursdays, September 15, 22, and 29th. 1-4 PM. New Time In this workshop series we will go to periphery of our creativity, challenge our comfort zone, and see what comes next. By opening up to those things that seem just beyond our reach, and exploring them through the art process, we are able to gain a new awareness of ourselves and our life path. The process often gives new insights into our inner and outer worlds. We will paint on a large canvas using acrylics and create a Mandala as our format. Focusing on the particular intention for that week and using the prompts below, participants will be led through a centering exercise, asked to do some spontaneous writing, and then go into painting. One of 3 sections of the Mandala will be worked on each week, culminated in a completed artwork. Week 1: Where am I Now ? Week 2: Where am I Going? Week 3: Where Do I Want to Be? Fee: $110. Includes canvases and basic acrylic paints. You are welcome to bring your own acrylics and brushes to supplement ours. Please email your intention to attend to [email protected] by Saturday, September 10th. To pay by check, send to 200 S. Washington Blvd. Suite 1, Sarasota, Fl. 34236. By credit card go online to www.expressiveartsflorida.com via Google checkout. Payment must be received to confirm attendance. 941-366-9595 back to top |

My participation in the sessions over the last five years have provided me with the opportunity to explore and heal my inner self through artistic expression. Whatever I am feeling on any given session day, I am able to dive deep into the depths of myself and create an art piece that holds special meaning for me. I have grown artistically, as well as personally because of my experiences in Art as a Healing Practice".

MAGIC OF MIXING with Tamara This color class is a great way for non-artists to learn to feel more comfortable and to minimize frustration when trying to expressive themselves visually with paint. We had a lot of fun and did our best not to be too "technical" learning and applying Basic Color Theory to create our own personal reference books. This class will be offered again in the fall. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in attending. Thank you for the wonderful experience in your 'Magic of Mixing' Color theory class yesterday. You were so well prepared and are such a gifted teacher. My learning curve was shortened and lowered by your choice of materials, handouts, and explanations. Using Model Magic and tempera paint to create secondary and tertiary colors, tints, shades and neutrals was especially effective in demonstrating color "rules". I treasure my color wheel book with its illustrations of warm, cold, complementary, tint, shade and neutral colors as well as my color wheel beads that hang proudly in my art chest. This learning adventure resonated deeply as you so aptly communicated human observations around the miraculous beauty and wonders of nature" Julia Alexander back to top |
TOUCH DRAWING WEEKEND INTENSIVE JULY 23-24
Our Touch Drawing Workshop Intensive took place July 23rd and 24th. 11 participants joined Victoria, Tamara and Elizabeth for 2 rich days of exploring Touch Drawing™ - a simple yet profound painting process founded by Deborah Koff-Chapin. We used our fingers. hands and even feet as instruments to draw on paper that is placed over a piece of Plexiglas to which paint has been applied. Wherever the paper is touched, an imprint is made. Impulses from within take form on paper through the movement of the fingertips on the page. This intuitive, meditative process moved us deeply into ourselves and we became witnesses for each other. In addition to the process of Touch Drawing™, we learned how to mount and embellish the raw images. We also explored the inspiring work that Deborah Koff-Chapin is doing, the therapeutic applications of Touch Drawing™ and the expansiveness of the Touch Drawing Community. "Many, many thanks for the supreme touch drawing workshop! I was thrilled with the new things I learned as well as the chance to do more drawings and have a deeper experience." -Elaine Donaghue, participant
See www.touchdrawing.com for more information. Expressive Arts Florida also offers individual and group Touch Drawing™ sessions. Schedule a session for yourself or your group of friends, family, or co-workers, whether you are new to the process or returning to this meditative, intuitive art form. Private sessions are $45 for an individual; $35 for a group of 2 or more. Additional discounts available for groups larger than 5. All materials are included.
