Important ChiroCare Connect Enhancements
We're pleased to announce that effective today, ChiroCare's secure provider web site, ChiroCare Connect, includes the following new tools and features:
Provider Performance Reports
§ Electronic copies of useful, easy-to-understand provider-specific performance data reports designed to support self-evaluation and monitoring.
§ Details regarding the new quarterly performance reports and online access information are being distributed via US mail today. Please watch your mail for this important communication.
Abbreviated Form for Initial Authorization Requests
§ If your e-Form authorization request qualifies as the patient's initial course of care, you will be routed to an abbreviated version.
§ Upon completion of the e-Form, you will immediately be presented with a recommended number of visits. As the requesting practitioner, you will be asked to decide whether the recommended course of treatment is acceptable.
§ If you accept the recommended treatment plan, ChiroCare will issue an immediate approval.
§ If you do not accept the recommended treatment plan, you will be automatically directed to ChiroCare's standard Treatment Plan e-Form, which will follow the normal submission and notification process. For your convenience, data already entered into the abbreviated form will auto populate in the standard e-Form.
§ Occasionally the request for an initial course of care requires more information than is gathered by the abbreviated e-Form. In those cases, you will be automatically re-directed to the standard Treatment Plan e-Form.
Availability of Review Determination Letters
§ In many cases, ChiroCare review determination letters are now available online before you receive them via fax or mail. You may quickly and easily download them from ChiroCare Connect.
§ To download a review determination letter:
ü Log on to ChiroCare Connect and select "Patient Status."
ü Enter your patient's member information and access the patient's Treatment Plan history.
ü Click "View Letters" to download the ChiroCare letters associated with each Reference Number.
Note: Review determination letters will continue to be distributed via fax and/or mail; this new feature is simply intended to give your office an additional option for collection of the review outcome.
Outcomes Assessment Tools Now Included in Treatment Plan e-Form
§ The Neck Disability Index and Primary Care Low Back Disability Questionnaire outcomes assessment tools are now included in the e-Form and no longer have to be faxed separately.
§ Category C practitioners must complete the Outcomes Assessment (OA) section in order to submit the e-Form; the OA section is optional for all other practitioners.
E-Form Support for Category A Providers
· In follow up to the state of Minnesota's requirement that all providers obtain prior authorization for any chiropractic care rendered beyond 12 visits, ChiroCare Connect will now allow Category A providers to submit online authorization requests.
· To submit an authorization request, log on to ChiroCare Connect and go to the e-Forms section.
· Select Complete New Chiropractic Treatment Plan and follow the prompts to complete and submit the e-Form.
Not Registered On ChiroCare Connect?
Registration is easy and takes only a couple of minutes.
- Go to www.chirocaremn.org and select "To ChiroCare Connect" link within the blue banner at the bottom of the page.
- Click the "Register" link under New User Registration.
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions of Use.
- Complete the online registration form.
- An e-mail confirmation from ChiroCare will be sent to the e-mail address you provided during registration. Click the link in this e-mail message to activate your account.
- Log on to ChiroCare Connect using the e-mail address (User ID) and password that you selected during registration.
