MTS Systems Corporation, a Patient Choice employer group, has asked ChiroCare to reinstate the standard UM program for its members effective October 1, 2010.
 
Earlier this year the employer group requested that all authorization requirements for this group be removed. Beginning with dates of service on October 1, 2010 however, Category B providers will again need to obtain authorization when treating a MTS patient beyond the six visit UM waiver. Please note that the six visit UM waiver will be applied to the full calendar year so visit calculations will include all dates of service rendered since January 1, 2010.
 
Also beginning with dates of service on October 1, 2010, Category C providers will be required to obtain an authorization for all services rendered.
 
MTS members can be identified with a Patient Choice/UMR medical ID card featuring group number 76030064.   An updated Patient Choice Plan Summary will be posted to ChiroCare Connect in the near future.
