Process Change: Provider UM Category Assignment

Dear ChiroCare Provider:
 
As part of our ongoing commitment to network providers, ChiroCare has been reviewing each aspect of its program. The goal has been to identify potential changes that would better align with our
vision, mission and values.
 
In follow up to this review process, ChiroCare's Board has voted to adjust its Utilization Management process in 2011 to make provider category adjustments once per year rather than once in January and again in July.  In place of the July re-categorization process, providers will receive summarized performance information. This information will include trend indicators and when the data demonstrates, proactive identification of a potential category change.  The tier re-categorization will occur in January.
 
We are pleased to implement this change, delivering a more consistent Utilization Management experience to you and your office, while supporting performance improvement through the distribution of useful data on a proactive basis.
 
As a reminder, this change will be implemented in January 2011, after the standard January cycle. Additional details will be distributed in future communications.
