Re: HealthPartners expansion to include Workers' Compensation Product
Dear ChiroCare Provider:
As you may know, HealthPartners offers a wide range of insurance products to its members including Medical, Dental and Workers' Compensation products. ChiroCare and HealthPartners are pleased to inform you that we have expanded the current agreement to include ChiroCare's delivery of a chiropractic network for HealthPartners Workers' Compensation product effective September 1, 2010. Despite the network transition, responsibility for Workers' Compensation care authorizations will be retained by HealthPartners and claim payments will continue to be issued by the applicable payor.
Unlike other managed Workers' Compensation programs, the HealthPartners program offers provider reimbursement at 100 percent of the fee schedule amounts established by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, when care is medically necessary and related to the accepted work comp injury. Please make sure the ChiroCare contracted provider's name is legible in the "Name" field.
ChiroCare providers who do not return an executed Addendum signature page will be considered non par and will not be eligible for workers' compensation referrals.
