New Residential Listing Form
The Rockford Area Realtors will be releasing a new residential listing form on Wednesday, October 26th. Members will not be able to use the old forms after this date. Training sessions will be conducted throughout the up and coming weeks. Once the training schedule has been developed, the information will be disseminated to all members. Please stay posted to all of your communications for the dates and times of those sessions.

SIGNATURE SERIES PROGRAM: Getting Paid Friday, November 4
National speaker, Jim Hochman, will be at the Rockford Area Realtors on Friday, November 4, to instruct a program, to commercial agents, which will allow attendees to gain knowledge that will immediately translate into increased revenues. The course offers 3 hours of elective continuing education credit.

Outstanding Individual of the Year and Committee of the Year Announced Michelle Romano-Huber was recognized at the Annual Installation and Program as the 2011 Outstanding Individual. Her involvement and commi  tment with the renovation of the home for the 2011 Boot Camp went beyond the call of duty. She also co-chaired the Boot Camp Committee with AJ Kordash, both of whom were recognized along with the rest of the participants for Outstanding Committee of the Year. Congratulations to all! Medicare Supplement and Part D Prescription Drug Coverage The Illinois Association of Realtors is expanding its endorsement of health insurance plans to include Medicare Supplement and Part D Prescription Drug coverage. The new plans will be made available through Regit Inc., IAR's partner for health, life, dental, disability, and financial protection plans.

Landlords: Learn New Disclosure Rules Amendments to the Fair Credit Reporting Act require entities that take an "adverse action" based on a credit score in a transaction with a consumer (such as security deposit) to now disclose this fact to the consumer. Read more (NAR log-in required)Top of Page

New FTC Rule That Affects Real Estate Professionals Released: August 19, 2011 The FTC has imposed a new ruling for real estate professionals who provide information about mortgage credit products to consumers such as a lender's rate sheet. The ruling will impose disclosure requirements and a two-year record keeping requirement. Enforcement authority for the rule rests with the Consumer Financial Protect Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and the state attorneys general.

 Hardest Hit Program
The new Illinois Hardest Hit program aims to help working Illinois families who are having trouble making mortgage payments due to umemployment or under-employment stay in their homes. This program offered by IHDA and the U.S. Department of Treasury, provides qualified homeowners with up to $25,000 over 18 months as a 10-year loan to keep mortgages current. Read moreTop of Page

License Law CE Reflection
"Each person who applies for renewal of his or her license must successfully complete 6 hours of real estate continuing education for each year of the pre-renewal period."
Understand that those who held a brokers license, renewed April 30, 2010, chose not to transition up to a managing broker status, will only need to complete a total of 12 hours of continuing education by the April 30, 2012 renewal date. This meets the 6 hours per year within each renewal period requirement.

Reviewing Your MLS Lockbox Policy
- "No MLS participant or licensee or any other holder of a key shall loan, lend, borrow, rent, share, sell, transfer or allow temporary possession of their electronic lock box key to another MLS participant or licensee, or any other person for any purpose at any time. The fine for participatingin such action shall be $1,000 for each occurrence."
