You received a new gadget for Christmas and now you are not sure what to do with it. Gadget guru, William James, will be presenting two sessions on Thursday, January 20th that will help any real estate agent become more efficient in using their tech tools or to help them determine what their needs are. Whether you use a Blackberry, Android, i-Phone, there will be something there for everyone. G. William James has been highly received at past NAR conventions and other Associations.

Grand Opening Caffeinated Cafe Cafe
Your Association is inviting you to the Grand Opening of the Caffeinated Cafe on Monday, January 10, 2011, at 11:00am, located at your Association. We will be serving up ideas, Business Updates, networking and even a little fun! The Cafe will be hosting informal sessions quarterly to give members an opportunity to offer suggestions, express concerns and share experiences with your business peers. Lender Fair 
The industry has changed. Wondering what mortgage companies are still open and what they have to offer and who can service you? There will be a Lender Fair, on Thursday, January 13th from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Association Facility, which will offer you the opportunity to speak one-on-one with all of the lenders who are members of the Rockford Area Realtors. Representatives from the City of Rockford and the Rockford Housing Coalition will also be present to advise on Buyer Counseling and Grant Programs.

Proficiency Transitioning
Step One- Transitioning
All real estate agents and managing brokers need to pass a proficiency exam and submit Transition Application along with $125 no later than March 30, 2012. (Those currently holding Broker Licenses who are not managing do not need to Transition) All tests are being administered by AMP. The Rockford Area Realtors is a designated AMP host site for the review sessions and testing. Proficiency Options

Step Two- License Renewal
Applicable CE requirements and the License Renewal Application need to be completed and submitted no later than April 30, 2012 for Brokers and April 30, 2013 for Managing Brokers. CE classes will be offered by the Association beginning mid-year.  

To encourage focus on completing the transition requirement, Early Bird rates for Review Classes are currently being offered. (See your MLS Calendar of Events for the Current Class Schedule-dates will be added)
