AUTOMATIC PICTURE DOWNLOADS
Do you have e-mail publications in which the images do not always display? Obviously, one way to display them is to right-click on the image every time you open the e-mail. However, there is a way to easily set the settings on your publication, such as your Realtor Connection so that they display automatically when you open the e-mail. On the toolbar of your publication, click on "Actions" and then "Junk Mail" followed by "Add Sender to Safe Senders List" as well as "Add Senders Domain to Safe Senders List". |

$1,500 Bonus to Agents for Fannie Mae REO's
Sales associates who sell a Fannie Mae-owned home by the end of hte year can get a $1,500 bonus under the company's HomePath Program. Buyers can receive an incentive, to, of up to 3.5 percent of the purchase price to help cover closing costs, including home warranty. Inventives are not available to investors.

Mark Your Calendars- Paul Green Coming to Rockford
Giovanni's
The Director of School of Policy Studies at Roosevelt University, Paul Green, will be the guest speaker at the November 16th Business Luncheon being held at Giovanni's. Paul is frequently interviewed by national news organizations, is a political analyst for WGN Radio and a guest columnist for the Daily Herald among many other very presitigious national literary publications. If there is any humor in politics, Paul is the one to find it and present his viewpoint clearly.

SMALL BUSINESS LOAN FUND ENACTED
Banks with assests under $10 million are eligible to apply for money through a $30 billion federal fund in a law signed by President Obama on September 27th. NAR members benefit from the fund in two ways: 1) They can apply for loans themselves as small businesses, and 2) they can facilitate transactions by helping their commercial clients learn about the loans. Banks participate voluntarily. The law also includes $12 billina in tax breaks for small businesses and makes enhancements, including larger loan amounts, to Sec. 7(a) and Sec. 504 loans guaranteed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. National Flood Insurance Extended
NAR is pleased to report that Congress has unanimously appro NAR is NAR is pleased to report that congress has approved a one-year extension, until September 30, 2011, for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The current one was due to expire on September 30th of this year.

FHA Announces Minimum Credit Scores
HUD has announced that effective Oct. 4, 2010, borrowers with a credit score below 500 are not eligible for FHA-insured mortgage financing. Borrowers with a credit score between 500 and 579 are limited to 90 percent LTV, which requires a 10 percent downpayment. Borrowers with a credit score of 580 or higher are eligible for maximum financing, which requires a minimum 3.5 percent downpayment. Borrowers with nontraditional credit histories may be eligible for maximum financing.

FHA Also Announces Mortgage Insurance Premium Changes
In mortgage letter 2010-29, FHA will be increasing its annual premium and lowering its upfront premium. NAR reports, "For all traditional purchase and refinance products the upfront premium is 1 percent. On 30 year loans with a 95 percent loan-to-value ratio or lower the annual premium is .85%. On the 30 year loans with an LTV lower than 95% the premium is .90%. For all reverse mortgages, known as the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage, the upfront premium is 2% and the annual premium is 1.25%."
