Creating an Exceptional Customer Experience
 A new exciting combined format has been implemented for the Annual Business Program and Installation Reception being held on Tuesday, September 7th at the Franchesco's Restaurant.
Program

National Speaker, Mike Staver, will explain why when all extraneous issues are stripped away, the customer experience is the single most critical factor in determining your success.

3.8% TAX ON "UNEARNED" INCOME
There has been a lot of concern regarding a new tax that
will take effect in January of 2013 on capital gains which may include the sale of a home.
Understand that the current $250,000/$500,000 exclusion on the sale of a principle residence will continue to be applicable. Therefore, only those single taxpayers having an adjusted gross income of more than $200,000 and married taxpayers having an AGI of more than $250,000 annually, would incur a 3.8% tax only on the lesser of the two amounts. (excess capital gain amount or the excess AGI amount) . Please reference NAR Frequently Asked Questions on Health Insurance Reform to address those concerns.

ILLINOIS SALES TAX HOLIDAY
August 6-15
Aimed at helping families save on back to school supplies and clothes, Illinois will waive 5 percent state portion of sales taxes collected on certain qualifying purchases.

| HOW DO THE NEW LICENSE LAW CHANGES AFFECT YOU AND YOUR LICENSE RENEWAL?
The IDFPR is still working out the details of establishing the required coursework and the transitioning process for when all licensees renew in 2012. Some very basic charts have been established for your information at this time. As soon as the guidelines and requirements become complete and available to your Association, those, along with the course schedules, will in turn be made available to you. Your patience is appreciated.

DISCLOSURE OF FORECLOSURES
The BOD recently approved the MLS Committee recommendation to require members to disclose foreclosure, REO, and lender-owned properties in the MLS listing in the field designated "foreclosure". A $100 fine will be imposed if the violation is not remedied following a 24 hour notice to the listing agent of the violation. Rational of change: To assure that the most accurate data is received and released on foreclosed properties.
