Nick's Towing Service is Proud To Be The Only 5 Star Tower in New Jersey!
Five Star
The American Towman Standards Authority is the towing and recovery industry's exclusive organization for rating a towing operation for its level of professionalism. Established in 1998 by American Towman Magazine, ATSA brought together industry leaders from the towing, training, insurance, and motor club communities for the purpose of defining operating standards believed to be either critical or important to running a professional towing operation. The Standards agreed upon had to meet two critical criteria, in that they would be 1) universally accepted and 2) have the ability to be monitored in a practical manner.

In 2010 The American Towman Standards Authority incorporated and created a new Board of Advisors, drawn from various industry segments. The current rating system has been updated to reflect changes that have occurred over the past decade. For example, because of today's ANSI requirements on reflected wear, the Standard on Uniforms requires compliance with these laws.

ATSA continues to be sanctioned by American Towman Magazine, the industry leader in trade communications. ATSA's mission is to help the towing industry prosper by raising the bar by which it operates.

36th Annual US Diesel Truck Nationals
Diesel Truck Natls
Raceway Park, Englishtown, NJ
If you've never had the opportunity to attend the US Diesel Truck Nationals at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ make 2012 THE year. This is one of the largest truck shows in the entire county and does not disappoint. More than 1,500 trucks attend and there is something going on from dawn to dusk (and well beyond!). Trucks start drag racing down the track first thing in the morning and it is King of the Hill, winner takes all. They race late into the night until there is a winner. The night caps off with a fantastic night show spectacular for the whole family to enjoy with monster and jet trucks. We look forward to seeing you there!

Spotlight on Our Employee
JT Sagun
John Thomas "JT" Sagun
Congratulations to JT Sagun for being the featured employee this month. JT has been towing for the past 2 plus years and towing is in his DNA. His Father, John was a heavy duty operator for many years and was a favorite employee here at NTS before becoming a supervisor for NJ Transit. JT joined the NTS team in late 2011 and has many of his Dad's trade characteristics. He is friendly, dependable, and has great customer service skills. JT has enjoyed attending WreckMaster classes and looks forward to training to become a heavy duty operator in the future. His hobbies outside of the towing arena include boxing, playing ice hockey, fishing and going to the gym.
"JT is a favorite among the staff here as he always comes in with  a smiling face and friendly disposition. I look forward to having him climb the ranks here and he definitely has what it takes to become a heavy duty operator like his father" says Nick. Keep up the great work JT!

Watch the video below and you can't help but smile and have a feel good moment as you watch the NASA folks go crazy with excitement. Job well done!

Car Carrier Calamity
7-10-12
Featured Job

It was a bad day for the driver of this car carrier. As he was coming around a turn he locked up the brakes on his truck and jackknifed all the while sliding toward a parked trailer. He was unable to stop and plowed into the side of the trailer pushing it off the roadway and onto the grass. We were called to the scene to untangle the mess and tow both the car carrier combination and damaged trailer away. Thank goodness no one was injured.
