Happy Independence Day from
Nicks Towing Service, Inc.! |

Greetings!
The heat is ON! It's been brutal here in the Northeast with not only record breaking temperatures but crazy windstorms that have knocked out power t0 many and a debilitating water main break. Here's hoping this email finds you handling the weeks heat safely. The new Move Over Law Commercial and video have debuted her in NJ and I couldn't be more proud to be a part of such a worthy endeavor. Knowledge is power and I pray that these public service announcements make a difference in saving the lives of towers, State Police, DOT workers and emergency response personnel. On a lighter note be sure to check out 2 new vehicles we've highlighted below. One is the new Nick's Towing Service Ford Fiesta all decked out in cool vinyl and the other is the new NYC cab set to hit the streets in 2014. Both are sure to be fun to see around! God bless, Nick Testa President |
New Move Over Law Video Debuts
| MOVE OVER LAW Video |
Working on the roadside is a dangerous and sometimes deadly job. That's why the Division of Highway Traffic Safety is asking motorists to Make the Move. What's the Move? When you see flashing lights on the side of the road, slow down, and if it's safe, Move Over -- away from police, fire crews, paramedics and tow truck drivers. If you make the move, others will follow.

NYC "Hails" a New Era in Urban Mobility In a city where more than 600,000 people hop in and out of a cab each day you can bet design is importatnt. That's why Nissan developed a special vehicle to meet the standards set by the NYC Taxi & Limosuine Commission's "Taxi of Tomorrow" program. NYC has the largest taxi fleet of any US city. The 2014 Nissan NV200 Taxi will start hitting city streets in late 2013. Features include transparent roof panel to get great views of the city in transit, active carbon lined headliner to help neutralize interior odors, overhead reading lights and floor lighting, sliding doors with entry step & grab handles, and ample room for 4 passengers and their luggage. |
Ford Fiesta Hits The NJ Streets In Style!
The new addition to the NTS fleet is certainly the cutest! It is "Ready For Service" in whatever capacity needed be it heading out to sales calls, going to trade shows or driving around town just looking cool!

Vacations Make Exercise Extra Fun A vacation is your chance to unwind and relax, but that doesn't mean it has to be spent just lolling on a beach or napping in a hammock (although who doesn't think that sounds like heaven!). Few activities de-stress the way exercise does, and since exercise can involve anything from exploring the streets of a new city to windsurfing at the shore, there are many opportunities to find new ways to get in some exercise and also bond with your family.
Travel Exercise: Balancing Activities for Children and Adults Alike Finding an activity that's interesting for both adults and children can be as simple as choosing something that no one in the family has done before. This way, everyone will be excited to try it, and no one will have an edge - you'll all be learning together. What's more, if it's an activity that needs instruction, you can probably negotiate a private lesson just for your family group. "The added bonus to having everyone on a similar playing ground is that you'll be trying a new activity together, providing even stronger family memories," says Brian Brandt, of Tyler, Texas, president of Summit Solution Group and a speaker on parenting, team building, and leadership.
Utilize Some Vacation Time For One on One Activities
If there is a good age gap between your kids or a parent isn't terribly fond of a particular activity do not depsair. Some one on one time between a parent and child can be a good thing even on vacation. There is nothing wrong with setting aside a few hours to have the group split up. One parent can go on a hike, jog, bike ride, etc. with one child while the other parent does something different with another child or just gets an opportunity to relax.
Preparing for an Active Family Vacation
It's important that children know beforehand that they might need to be flexible about the activities you've planned. Factors beyond anyone's control - like the weather - could ultimately affect what you are all able to do.
But with a little planning, you can make your next family trip a great, active experience that everyone will remember fondly for years to come. |
