Rotator Training Class
Jeremy and Nick had the opportunity to attend a three day rotator training class in CT this month. Itwas presented by Tom Luciano & John Hawkins from Miller Industries. There was both class room time and hands on outdoor time to visualize what was discussed in the class. "The class was invaluable" says Nick. "We learned a good deal about the maintenance of our truck as well as some recovery and towing techniques. You can never be too old to learn something new."
Jeremy recounts that "The class was great and I especially enjoyed the ability to learn standing next to the owner of our company. Nick is a busy man and it means a great deal as a driver to have him take time to take this class with me." This class is one of many that the NTS drivers have the opportunity to attend as part of their continuing education.
We Are Proud To Be Members Of The Following Organizations
This 1/64 scale truck is a replica of Grant Street Warehouse's truck. The truck is dubbed "Project 351" and is based out of Moonachie, NJ. To purchase one of these collectibles click the link below. Use the coupon code; TRUCK to save 5%. Happy trucking!
As usual there is quite a bit going on here at Nick's Towing. I'm sure it's the same where you are as well. That's why we've included the segment on a Family Health History. It's important for all of us to take time for our health (although I often have to be reminded of this by my own family). Take a moment to read the information and hopefully it will inspire you!
For all of our truck and tow buffs we have a new recovery highlight for you. If you need a little "Anger Management" check out the You Tube video link.
In other news, I went back to school (rotator school that is!) and we have a new addition to our NTS team. Last, be sure to check out the Dodge Viper in the bottom pictures. See if you can tell what's the "real deal". In the meantime enjoy reading and stay safe out there.
God bless,

Block Recovery On Highway
One of our recent recoveries included an interesting caveat, a 42,000 pound block of cement was lost off of the truck when it rolled over. The truck was uprighted by our men and towed away to safety. Part two of the recovery was removing the large piece of highway wall from the roadway. The trucking company sent another trailer to be loaded with the piece. We utilized two wreckers to lift the block up and onto the trailer so that it could be taken to it's final destination. Kudos to our guys who always face new challenges under extreme pressure to move quickly to open the roadway and "Get 'er done"!
Healthy Habits
Take a Family Health Portrait
Dr. Carl Sagan said "You have to know the past to understand the present." This is especially important as it relates to your health. It is critical to know your family medical history to help identify risk factors for heath problems such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer. A family history is a great predictor of risk as it relates to you and your children. Having this information will help to identify steps you can take to help reduce you health risks and that of your family. Genes are one element but also consider environmental factors, lifestyle and habits. Sharing this information with your health care provider may also provide valuable insight so that your doctor can provide better care for you.
"My Family Health portrait" is a free Internet based tool created by the Surgeon General. It is easy to complete and has the following features:
-Record your family's health history
-Print your history to provide to your family health care providers.
-Save and regularly update for future use.
What better time than now to give your family the gift of a family health portrait.
Can you tell if the car on our flatbed is real or fake? Believe it or not it is a fake! It was used as part of a special display for Dodge at the International Car Show in NYC. The "car" even had a special machine to help load it onto our flatbed. Check out the pictures below:
