Daylight savings Time begins March 11th. Remember to turn your clocks ahead. Unfortunately this means losing one hour of sleep. The National Sleep Foundation offers the folowing tips to adjust your body to the time difference and get a good night's sleep:

-Go to bed 15 minutes earlier each night for the 4 days leading up to March 10th.

-Avoid nicotine, and alcohol close to bedtime. Both can lead to poor sleep.

-Create a sleep condusive environment that is dark, quiet, cool and comfortable.

-Wear socks to keep your feet warm (cold feet equals trouble sleeping).

- Use your bedroom for sleep only.

 

This accident proves that you have to be a vigilant driver even in the best of circumstances. It is unclear why or how this tractor driver lost control and skidded across the lanes of this roadway perpendicular to traffic on a clear, dry day. The truck came to rest nosed into the jersey barrier and on top of the white Honda. The driver was extricated from the vehicle (and thank goodness survived). Our heavy duty wrecker and flatbed were called to clear the scene and reopen the highway. We were able to utilize our rotator so that we could leave one lane open while we prepped the vehicles for tow. Incident management at its best!
