Patriot Day 9/11
Patriot Day was signed into law on December 18, 2001 as a day to remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on our country on 9/11/01. Many Americans refer Patriot Day as 9/11 or September 11.
On the direction of the President, the flag of the United States of America should be displayed on the homes of Americans, the White House and all United States government buildings in the whole world. The flag should be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect to those who died on September 11, 2001. Many people observe a moment of silence at 8:46 AM (Eastern Daylight Time). This marks the time that the first plane flew into the World Trade Center. Some communities, particularly in the areas directly affected by the attacks, hold special church services or prayer meetings. People who personally experienced the events in 2001 or lost loved ones in them, may lay flowers or visit memorials.
Patriot Day is not a federal holiday and schools and businesses do not close. Public transit systems run on their regular schedules. Some people and organizations may take some time out to hold prayers for the victims of the attacks. In 2009, President Barack Obama signed the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act which recognizes September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance, calling upon Americans to make an enduring commitment to serve their community and our Nation. Meet The Employee - Carmine Reddiconto
Carmine has been a Nick's Towing Service employee for the past six and one half years. He is a flatbed driver that also slips behind the wheel of the medium duty wrecker when needed. He has been a tower for the past 12 years and knows the ins and outs of light and medium duty towing. He is an extremely hard worker and is known by his fellow employees as the guy who "get the job done". He can be seen 'around town' in the NTS truck #92, a Chevy C6500 flatbed. His specialty is transporting motorcycles and low pro cars but the thing that gets his blood pumping is recovery work.
Carmine is a Jersey boy, living down the shore for 18 years before moving to Northern NJ. He has 2 adult children and has his 5th grandchild on the way! He enjoys bowling, live bands, monster trucks and large cheese steaks. "Carmine is an extremely valuable second shift employee here at Nick's and we are very happy to have him here as part of the team." says Nick. Great job Carmine! |

Local Fire Departments Working Tirelessly For Their Communities In The Aftermath of Hurricane Irene
What happens when first responders need help? They call Nick's Towing of course!
This Rutherford Fire Department Special Service Unit was responding to a scene during the aftermath of Hurricane Irene. It got stuck in the mud. NTS was called to the scene and we rescued the truck so it could go on its way to continue assisting local residents.

We were proud to assist the Lyndurst Fire Department in their efforts to protect and serve the local residents in what was one of the worst flooding on record for the community.
