Healthy Grilling
Grilling is not only fun and tasty but it is also healthy. There is no need to add additional fat to the meat and any fat within the meat drains right off when cooking. Grilling is great for beef and chicken of course but think out of the box and try lamb, fish, seafood, vegetables, and even fruit.
Grilling Rules:
- Always keep your grill clean. This is essential for great tasting food and food safety.
- Soak bamboo skewers for atleast 20 minutes to prevent burning.
- When grilling low fat meats and other foods that stick, us a non stick spray on the grates before the grill is heated up.
- Cook fruit and vegetables on the outer edges of the grill as they tend to cook quicker than meats.
- Turning food too often can slow down the cooking process and lead to tougher, dryer meat. Turn just once for the juiciest, most flavorful end product. |
