Don't Get Trashed!

The daily mail arrives with an abundance of postcards, flyers, and other direct mail pieces. Most companies throw a majority of this mail directly into the garbage bin. When your business sends direct mail, how can you make sure it's not getting thrown in the trash and wasting your money?

One of the most important--and most ignored--aspects of direct mail marketing is the quality of your database. If you aren't screening your data regularly, you are most likely sending pieces to people who have changed employers or moved to a job that no longer requires your product or service.

With a clean and up-to-date database, the next important step is to create compelling printed pieces that capture attention. Strong photography and graphics, a message with punch, quality paper, and a clear call to action all significantly increase the likelihood that your potential customers will pick up the phone and call you.

What Monogram Can Do for You

  • Evaluate your database. We recommend screening your prospect list at least every six months--we can provide solutions if we find that your database is inadequate. Having a contact at a company is one thing; having the right contact is what counts.
  • A design that readers respond to. Loud headlines, clashing colors, and multiple fonts that all scream for attention--sounds like most direct mail pieces! This is ineffective--if your piece isn't well designed, potential customers don't know where to look or what message you're trying to convey. Try us instead--customers respond to our eye-catching, crisp designs.
  • Make it a keeper. Our goal is to make each piece impossible to throw away. We have received mail so striking that we keep it even if it's not a product or service we need at the time. Should a need arise or we have the opportunity to make a referral, we have the piece at our fingertips.
  • Be open to new ideas. Direct mail can be so much more than a postcard or flyer. We stay on top of new trends in direct mail, and offer creative solutions that your prospects will respond to.

Some think that print will fall by the wayside as technology continues to expand, however the nature of print lets your customers know you stand behind your word. Your commitment "in print" emphasizes that you're not going to claim something different tomorrow than you did today.

Throughout 2011 the Monogram Messenger is focusing on ways to help you refine your marketing efforts, maximize your impact, and obtain the greatest return from your marketing budget!

Sincerely,
