  The beginning of the year is always a busy time with ongoing series recording and looking forward to the ACTRA awards.  I'm also preparing for my Daytime Emmy judging responsibilities coming up in February which usually involves viewing over 100 episodes of kid's programming in the space of two weeks!   Watch for the Daytime Emmy nominations to come out in March.   
 
   Just before Christmas we wrapped voice recording on the new animated series, THE DOODLEBOPS ROCKIN' ROAD SHOW. This is an exciting production with both on camera and animation components, and has two guest star kids in every episode.  This means that with the first season coming in at 26 episodes, I took on the massive task of casting 52 kids to be guest stars!   Over the summer, I auditioned over 250 kids for both the on-camera and voiceover components, and let me tell you - there are a lot of talented kids in this town. You can catch this show on CBC & CBS.  
 
   Since then, I've been having a ball working with my young cast members on MR MOON, a new series that I am Voice Directing for TVO and DISNEY UK.      This is a sweet preschool series that takes place in outer space - and the young actors, Gage Munroe, Gabriel Giammaria, Jamie Bloch, Graeme Jokic, Jake Goodman and Maya Lowe, are nothing short of little pros and also amazingly fun to work with.   I can't wait for it to hit the airwaves in the spring.
 
   I also started Voice Directing a new series headed for the Family Channel, JUSTIN TIME, an adventurous romp about a young boy and his two best friends exploring new countries and eras, and, of course, always saving the day.  
 
   And finally, the voice recording for Season 2 of the action packed and popular tween series MAGI NATION is wrapping up this month, and we are all excited to see that begin to air next fall on CBC.
