From the Desk of the Director:
This is one of my favorite times of the year because
we have so much for which to be thankful. In our celebration of Thanksgiving
this year I was reminded anew that our country was founded on Christian
principles. The Continental Congress decreed in 1782 and President Abraham
Lincoln proclaimed on October 3, 1863 that the blessings that we have as a
nation and as individuals are from Almighty God who is to be thanked and
praised for his wonderful goodness to us. That was their attitude then and it
certainly should be our attitude today. May we never loose sight of our
sovereign God's goodness, love, grace and provision.
This time of year also brings Christmas and we get
ready to celebrate the birth of God's Son and our Savior Jesus Christ. The real
reason for the Christmas season is often lost in the cooking, decorating,
traveling, buying and wrapping gifts, and all kinds of family activities. None
of these things in and of themselves is wrong unless they distract us from the
real reason that we celebrate in the first place. So, my prayer is that you and
I will start today with the right spirit and attitude about Christmas. Let us
concentrate on the fact that God came to earth to give us the gift of Jesus the
Christ so that through him all men could be saved.
These truths are the very core of who we are at
Doulos Partners. We have so much to be thankful for as a ministry. God's
blessings are flowing abundantly and the good news of his Son's birth, life,
death, burial, and resurrection are being communicated around the world. I want
to thank each of you, for you have been such a huge part in making that happen.
There are literally thousands who have received Jesus as their savior because
of your partnership. To God be the glory, great things he has done. I pray that
you and your family will have a very safe and wonderful Christmas season.
Yours
and His,David Johnson Executive Director

November 2009 Cuba Trip
Our missions team that went to Cuba the second week
of November was incredibly blessed. We visited 42 of our churches where we got
to preach the gospel, pray over the people, baptize and train them. We are so
thankful to the Lord that we saw 48 people accept Christ as their savior for
the first time, and we also got to baptize 20 additional followers who had
recently come to Christ.
Just below this article is a video that shows
some of what we did while we were there. Click on the video and it will open in YouTube. Please make sure that you do not miss
seeing what God did and continues to do in Cuba. Thank you, Brian Johnson, for
putting this video together so that those who could not go would have a little
bit of Cuba brought to them.

Ten Church Plants in India
As the name of our ministry indicates, we are "partnership"
focused. We partner with people in the United States that are serious minded Christians
and are sold out to the great commission. Our strategy then expands to
international church planting ministries that are already on the ground
affectively spreading the gospel. We yoke up with them for the advancement of
the name of Jesus. Our first partner is a ministry out of Dallas TX called
World Link Ministries. We are in partnership with them in Cuba and Mexico.
I am very excited to announce the beginning of a new
partnership with a ministry out of Naples FL called Big Life Ministries. Big
Life has been doing church planting in the 10/40 window since 2003 and they
have planted a total of 2,470 churches as of today. Those churches have been
started in Nepal, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Pakistan. We are
very pleased to announce that Doulos Partners is now supporting 10 new church
planters in India through this partnership with Big Life.
The names of our new church planters are Amai, Tapan,
Susanto, Ashok, Dilip, Bidesh, Rose, Ravi, Johnny, and Todo. These 10 men and
women are very courageous in the spreading of the gospel. I am asking you to
join me in praying for them every day as they serve the Lord by planting
churches and telling the story of Jesus and the salvation that he offers. They
put themselves in harms way and they need our prayer support for safety and
fruit bearing.

  Year End Contributions
As you know, Doulos is a faith based ministry that
relies on the generous giving of people who believe in the strategy of carrying
the name of Jesus around the world through church planting. During these uncertain
economic times we have been so blessed that God has given us exactly what we
needed exactly when we needed it.
I would ask that you prayerfully consider making a
generous contribution to our ministry as a part of your year-end giving plan.
The Lord is giving us a vision to do so much more in the world but we need your
help to accomplish that. Let me just remind you that Doulos Partners is a 501
(c) (3) organization and upon receiving your gift we will send you a donation
receipt so that you can claim it as a charitable donation on your taxes.
Please make your checks payable to Doulos Partners and please mail them to
4 Riverchase Ridge Birmingham, AL 35244.
Remember, your check must be postmarked by December 31st to be
counted as a 2009 donation. Thank you for your financial support as we work
very hard to advance the name of Jesus among the nations.

In Closing
This has
been an amazing first full year for our ministry. Words cannot express how
thankful we are for what the Lord has done through our efforts and the people
that he has brought into our lives both at home and abroad. Thank you from the
bottom of my heart for your partnership. And most of all, praise God from whom
all blessings flow. I pray that you and your family have a very productive 2010
and that God will use you and I to bring thousands more to faith in Christ.
