Greetings!
I've had one of those months, you know when things don't go according to plan. That is rare for me. I love how my life is very smooth and when I am thrown off track I begin to ask what on earth I am supposed to learn from it. Not easy I assure you.
This month my problems have been mostly technical and putting my faith in people who didn't necessarily deserve it. I've learned some brilliant lessons so none of it was wasted.
The best part was I met a wonderful woman who is going to help me and I will share more of that with you later in the month.
Have a brilliant month, be joyfull and take time out for your own fun and inspiration. I am off to Sydney for a couple of months.

MIND - BODY - SPIRIT
Well, here we are almost a 3rd of the way through 2011 and from the feedback I've been getting you are likely still spinning your wheels and running on empty. Even though we did cover self care last month to some degree it is something that we can never have enough of.
I'd like to spend a moment asking you what kind of self care system you have in place? Do you allocate time each day for exercise, personal time to read, walk or be in nature?
Do you spend time having a massage or do yoga or pilates to wind down? I have a feeling that maybe only one or two of you said "yes" to that. Funny isn't it how women in particular manage to do so much in a day, find time to do even more but when it comes down to self care - poof! time has magically disappeared. We have two speeds, flat out or "flat out".
How about we create a mini-revolution? Just for this month let us schedule time EACH DAY to do one thing for ourselves in the way of self-care. That would be 7 things in a week. Wouldn't that be totally delicious? Are you in? Good.
In the next 24 hours please make a list of some of the things you can do - you can use my 30 seconds, 30 minutes, 30 days strategy if you like. In 30 seconds you can stretch or drink some water; in 30 minutes you can do yoga poses, go for a walk or write a poem and in 30 days you may like to plan a weekend away or have a weekend without emails and technical "noise".
Make a list of at least 10 things in each category that you can do for yourself that would bring you relaxation, fun or pure joy.
Every day is precious and it is really important that we spend time nurturing our spirit, our body and our mind. A saying we used when I was a fitness trainer was "If you don't take the time to be well you will have to make the time to be sick" and no-one wants that, so put yourself first this month and see how easy it is when you create a habit of intention.
If you need a partner to challenge, motivate and inspire you I am just an email away.
Joan

Quote of the month

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom. Victor Frankl
