Hi 

What a fun and exciting couple of months I am having, how about you? We are now finally seeing Spring in her beautiful new frock as she  primps and parades, showing off her colours and smelling delightful, especially at our place where the heady smell of jasmine has taken over. Beautiful!

FYI. The beautiful stonework was done by my gorgeous partner Geoffrey. If you are interested in seeing some of his work you can go to www.stonemasoncarver.com He does everything by hand, in the same way it has been done for centuries. He doesn't use cement, all the stones are dry laid and fit like a jigsaw puzzle.

I am looking forward to spending November in Sydney and having a big "catch up" and of course visiting my favourite restaurants!

30 DAY CHALLENGE! 7 steps to success!

This month I invite you to take up my 30 day challenge. Name your game then follow the steps below and win!
 
1... Choose something that you would like to complete within 30 days. It may be a business plan, a fitness plan, a de-cluttering plan or anything that would move you forward toward a bigger goal - or in fact may be a goal in and of itself. We will call it your GAME.

2...You will then visualize your game including the end of the 30 day challenge and what it feels like to be, do or have that change completed and how it makes you feel. Get really specific here. Every detail is important.

3...The next step is to come up with 1 or 2 distractions that could stop this happening and create an action plan to overcome these distractions. These may be obstacles, gremlins, your usual array of 'excuses'. (Hey, it's ok, we all have them). Be a Warrior Princess and have your weapons ready to slay these dragons.

4...You will then create an action plan of small steps and actions you will commit to daily, weekly and for the 30 days. Mark these in your calendar and daily planner or DO/DONE list. (I don't believe in 'to do' lists.)

TIP: I created an excuse proof strategy that may help you too. Think of actions that will take 30 seconds - 30 minutes or 30 days; write them down and build them up. You will be amazed at what you can do in 30 seconds!
It is the little things done consistently that make the biggest difference.

5...Create a Contract of Commitment for yourself and sign and date it! This is your accountability tool.

6...Each day give yourself a score for your efforts. You could do this on a scale of 1 - 10 (1 being low, 10 high) and score according to your efforts. Or come up with something creative as a score guide. At the end of the week you reward yourself according to your score.

7...Reflect and review - what works, what doesn't and how can you improve. Go through this process again or just certain aspects of it until you win your game. Then begin again........... AND DON'T FORGET TO CELEBRATE!


Note: You decide what your rewards will be. Have a list of micro rewards up to very big rewards for when you really give something 100% and feel very proud of your efforts. It's important to give rewards for effort not just results.

This is a really simplified version of goal setting and if you don't understand any aspect of it or you would like a bit more help please email me and I will do my best to answer your queries or of course you could do one of my coaching packages. Either way is fine. My intention is to help you get into action one way or another.

With the end of 2010 looming ahead this might just be the actions that catapult your 2011 plans into the stratosphere and give you the best start you can possibly have. You will be way ahead of the game.

SUGGESTION: Why not do this with a group of friends or work colleagues - I actually know someone who did a joint weightloss 30 day challenge at work and they had great results which they kept up for the long term. Whatever works for you...... have fun, and be kind to yourself.

HONOUR YOURSELF - Angela

This is a new segment which I introduced last month. I don't believe that we honour ourselves enough and often take for granted that which comes easily to us or in fact that which we have taken pains. to produce. So let us stand tall, be bold and shout from the rooftops that we are here and we are going to be seen and heard!

This month I am thrilled to honourAngela. Angela was a client of mine almost 2 years ago and has made some amazing changes in her life including changing countries and establishing a delightful loving relationship with the man of her dreams. Together they have established a gorgeous website called The Pet's Place where they feature all things "pets". It is a fantastic resource and fun place to visit. I also love their philosophy -  B.E.T.H. which is an acronym for Beauty, Education, Truth and Harmony. Just perfect.

Angela has written a beautiful and touching short story of a lonely little boy in need of a friend entitled "Wishes really do come true". She has kindly allowed me to offer it to you as a gift.
