Message from Dr. Munson
|
Dear Family and Friends:
Although we've moved our clocks ahead an hour and daylight stays with us a little longer, you still may find yourself doing the same old dark workouts inside the gym or in the privacy of your own home. So why not spring forward - right out the door. Taking your workout outside this spring can recharge your batteries and give you a renewed enthusiasm for exercise. Remember to bring lots of water and wear sun block.
For the days we don't get outside we are still getting exercise and burning calories!! Here are a list of household tasks and the calories burned, based on a 30-minute period.
| Mopping:
140 calories |
Vacuuming: 140 calories |
| Ironing: 75 calories |
Dusting: 120

| Cooking: 90 calories |
Rearranging furniture: 113 calories |

Our bodies love motion! Regular exercise keeps us going. Move it or lose it! If you need help designing an exercise program, please let me know.

Thank you for volunteering and teaching our children the value and meaning of their participation. Everyone is Welcome!

I went to see Dr. Munson for my sore feet, I was diagnosed with plantar fascitis and heel spurs. She is giving me therapy with laser light. I also asked her if the laser would work for toenail fungus. She said we could try it. She has been doing it almost three months now and the fungus is almost gone. I saw a commercial on TV about laser treatment for nail fungus, so that is why I asked Dr. Munson about that. I'm finally going to have normal looking toes. That is really cool! Chris Lemkuil
