Sacramento Lobby Day 2010 - Be There! REGISTER TODAY
This is the year to make the effort. To take the time. To invest in our community and help to ensure a brighter future for ALL Californians. This is the year to attend the JPAC Sacramento Lobby Day.
With funding for vital social services at great risk of being cut or eliminated from the state budget and with Iran posing an even greater threat to peace and democracy than ever before, this is the year to advocate for those without a voice.

Happy Passover!
Passover - an 8-day festival commemorating the Jews' Exodus from Egypt - begins this year on Monday evening, March 29, and concludes on Tuesday evening, April 6.
Of all the Jewish holidays, Passover is the one most commonly observed, even by otherwise non-observant Jews. Passover reminds us all of the imperative to remember the less fortunate. Jews around the state of California and the world over will celebrate the holiday with a special ritual meal called a "seder" and by abstaining from eating any leavened grains. To learn more about Passover, Click HERE.
From the JPAC family of advocates to you, we send you our best wishes for a joyous holiday - or as is said in Hebrew, "Chag Pesach Sameach!" |
New JPAC Member Spotlight:
We are excited to note the recent addition of 30 Years After as a JPAC member organization. 30 Years After is a robust new organization that seeks to educate, inspire and mobilize the Iranian Jewish community through civic action conferences, quarterly lectures and seminars, a high school mentorship program, voter registration drives, and an anthology of short stories and video interviews to commemorate and shed light on the sacrifice, courage, and resilience of the community's path to the United States.

ABOUT US: JPAC is the largest single-state coalition of Jewish organizations in the nation, representing Jewish communities and nonprofit organizations across California. Comprised of most of the Jewish Federations from communities throughout California and a myriad of Jewish community advocacy organizations, we advocate on behalf of Jewish social service agencies, traditional community concerns, and broadly shared values that affect the citizens of our State. We make certain California's Jewish community acts with one united voice in Sacramento on a variety of issues of importance to the Jewish community and in order to advocate for all of California's most vulnerable populations.
