Pediatric Dentistry at Vinings
Pedo at Vinings

Founded in 2006 by Dr. Faith Bates, Pediatric Dentistry at Vinings has been fulfilling its mission of "Creating a generation of kids who LOVE going to the dentist".  Dr. Bates encourages children beginning at age 1 to establish a pediatric dental home and start routine dental visits which include cleanings and exams every 6 months.  We have a truly kid friendly environment that both parents and kids enjoy because we focus on patient care, customer service, and professionalism.

Call us at 678-305-1090 to schedule an appointment and allow your child the opportunity to experience our office. You may visit our webpage or visit us at  Facebook. Thank you.

Thank you Petersen Partners
It does take a Village

held  an Open House Event in Vinings Estates on Sunday, August 19  to support the students of Nickajack Elementary School.  They collected an assortment of school supplies.  We are grateful to have businesses that want to help our school and our students.  Thank you to Jill Petersen, Karen Burton and their staff and patrons!

Garden Club
Who is READY to DIG IN THE DIRT?
garden club2012

We are getting ready to expand the Garden Earth Naturalist program here at Nickajack.  Last spring we were able to offer the program to K-2 students.  Beginning this fall we plan to offer two sessions, K-2* and 3-5.  *The only Kindergarten students who will be accepted this fall are those siblings of existing members.  Garden Club will be open to all Kindergarten students in the spring.

Students who display the creativity, imagination, interest in Science, and motivation to be successful are all welcome to apply to join Garden Club. We are also asking students to provide a Teacher Recommendation Form.  Since Ms. Bassett is working on finishing her Master's Degree in December, she is going to take on an advisory role in the fall, but will be back in action in the spring.  Anna Freese will take on Grades 3-5 with the help of Holly Bonvissuto and Ashli Lyons.  Mrs. Heflin will garden with the primary grade students, but will need the continued help of our dedicated garden parents.

If you have not seen our gardens, PLEASE do so.  We have been very fortunate to have teachers and parents who worked hard all summer to keep our garden growing.  The pumpkin patch was planted by our Kindergarten students last spring (from seeds).  You will see that they were VERY successful.   We plan to start after Labor Day and alternate Thursdays.

Once we have an idea of enrollment, we will provide a monthly calendar.  Due to high interest in the club, we can only accept applications on a first come first served basis.  All applications must be complete (ie:  Recommendation and Parent Permission forms must be filled out and signed).

Please email us if you have any questions.

We are looking forward to another GREAT year in the garden!

Jessica Bassett, Anna Freese, and Deryl Heflin
