St. Michael the Archangel Youth Ministry

Our monthly Teen Mass will be on Sunday, May 6th, at the Noon Mass.  This will also be our special mass to recognize the soon-to-be high school graduates in our parish.  All high school seniors and their families are invited to come and receive a blessing from the priest.

If you are looking for a spiritual pump-up this summer, there are 2 awesome retreats coming up that will promise to shake things up for you AND introduce you to other awesome Catholic teens from around the city.

The Kairos retreat is hosted by Church of the Ascension and Sacred Heart of Jesus Parishes.  It is open to high schoolers entering their Junior or Senior year of high school.  We can't tell you much more than that or we'll give away all the awesome surprises of the weekend!  The next Kairos is June 8-10 at Savior Pastoral Center in Kansas City, Kansas.  if you are interested, want to learn more, have any questions or want to get the application check out the Ascension website.  The deadline is fast approaching and there are only 30 spots available.  Act fast if you would like to go!

The TEC retreat (Teens Encounter Christ) is hosted by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas and is a nationwide retreat that was started in 1965.  Since then thousands of young Catholics have delved deeper into their faith and come away with a better understanding of who they are and who they want to be.  The next TEC weekend is August 11-13 at Prairie Star Ranch.  For more information and the application check out the ArchKCK website.

Save the date for a great night of games, ice cream, new faces and old faces. 

 First, come and help us welcome the 8th graders to FLOCK and introduce a whole new class of students to the best youth group ever! 

Second, come and eat your fill of ice cream and tasty toppings. 

Third, help us say goodbye to Aaron Ogilvie, our fantastic, hilarious and super-awesome youth minister.  Aaron is a firefighter and is moving on in the world to save lives and tell those fires who's boss.  Come and give him a proper send-off and let him know how much he'll be missed.
